An arm prosthesis that can make you feel what you're touching

Science has made another leap forward. In the United States, scientists from DARPA have invented a prosthetic arm that can make you feel. To achieve this surprising result, this prosthesis has been connected to the brain.

The arm prosthesis is equipped with sensors in the fingers and an interface consisting of two electrodes implanted surgically in the brain. This surprising installation transmits the information to the cerebral cortex thanks to the sensors located on the fingers. Sensations related to touch, such as pressure, are immediately perceived by the passer-by ... as if it were, in short, a real human arm.
