Sure Creapills, we regularly share the illustrations of cartoonists who are particularly talented when it comes to denouncing the problems of our contemporary society. We think for example of artists like Stephan Schmitz or Avogado6. But the illustrator we will talk about today is without a doubt one of the pioneers in this area.
For more than 30 years, the Austrian cartoonist Gerhard Haderer portrays our contemporary society that it has evolved over the years, in the good and the bad sense. His illustrations, which are still in a very classical style, have the quality of denouncing, with great precision and subtlety, what's wrong with our society.
Gerhard Haderer started his career as a graphic designer and illustrator for advertising agencies. In 1985he decided to give up everything to become an independent cartoonist and satirical illustrator on his own. A good career choice that allowed him to work for many newspapers and magazines, and most importantly, to edit his own books.
