At first glance, one might think that this is a bunker that has slowly North Sea. But it is not so. In fact, this strange building that sinks into the water is nothing more than a ... restaurant ! The first underwater restaurant in Europe same, with a capacity of100 seats and a unique view.
Located in the village ofBåly, in the south of Norway, this building 600 m2 for gourmets is called "Under" and will allow guests to eat 5 meters below sea level, facing a huge bay window (for the lucky ones) who immerses you in a natural aquarium.
Built by the Norwegian architectSnøhetta, the structure is obviously designed to withstand the water pressure and to shocks caused by waves. This giant monolithic periscope is currently under construction and is expected to welcome its first customers in a few months. If you are looking for a place for a unusual dinner... here is a suggestion! For more information, go to architect's website.
