“In search of sensations, for the pleasure of strolling or to get his wand, the scooter lends itself". Improve your mobility is a daily challenge, especially when you're in Wheelchair. For Charlotte, making her daily trips easier was a dream. A dream that came true thanks to four engineers: Mathieu Izaute, Robin Lhommeau, Sulivan Richard and Noah Vinot-Kahn. Together, they helped 50 people in wheelchairs, including Charlotte, discover the thrills of electric scooters. A caring initiative that gives us a smile!
On the Facebook page of the Omni, Charlotte tells her story: "I was impressed by their knowledge of disability and their investment to discover how life is in a wheelchair!"Indeed, the four engineers spent two weeks in a wheelchair to live the handicap on a daily basis, even going so far as to attach their feet. As Charlotte explains, "they have discovered the joy of cobblestones, coastlines, public transport and even falls!"In fact, they mostly understood what challenge represented traveling while in a wheelchair.
The five acolytes were therefore in the forefront of prototyping solutions to improve mobility. That's how they created a fixation universal which allows you to use any wheelchair electric scooter. Check out the images of the users in the video below:
Charlotte also states that "equal performance, an electric scooter costs 500 euros when a specific electrical assistance costs 5,000 euros". If the price of the fixation is not revealed on the Omni website, it is stated that it is intended "playful and affordable". What to offer bowls of fresh air at an affordable price. Besides, did you know that there is a way that allows people with motor, brain or mental disabilities to enjoy the sensations of cycling? Henri-Claude Poisson created a handlebar which adapts to wheelchairs to enjoy bicycle rides.
