With its five iconic sneaker styles and thousands of sales around the world, Vans can boast of being a particularly popular brand of teenagers. After paying tribute to Vincent Van Gogh, the famous brand of shoes and the Van Gogh Museum collaborate again. Together, they launch the collection Frida Kahlo x Vault, to pay tribute to the Mexican activist and artist. A colorful collection!
Frida Kahlo x Vault celebrates the art and life of this Mexican painter, known for her self-portraits and his works inspired by the nature. Three of the brand's signature pairs of shoes have been redesigned to honor the artist's work.
Among his works, we find his famous painting "Las Dos Fridas" (1939) printed on OG Sk8-Hi LX with a green leather upper and a different self-portrait on each side of the pair. OG Authentic LX features a watermelon print from the artist's painting "Viva la Vida" (1954) while OG Slip-On LX celebrates his best-known work "Autorretrato con Collar de Espinas" (1940) where Frida Kahlo can be seen with a monkey and a panther. The three pairs all have a white vulcanized sole with a two-tone Vans label.
The Frida Kahlo x Vault collection will be launched on June 29 at the price of 89 euros and will only be available at select retailers Vans Vault.
